Spec Miata Engine Build - NA/NB Miata

This is the engine build I do for Spec Miata racers: your NA or NB engine rebuilt with Mazda OEM internals to the letter of the Spec Miata Law, machined and put together to the class rules. It's offered for the 1.6 (SNC and LNC), the 1.8 BP, the NB1 BP4W and the NB2 VVT.

Every build follows the current SCCA Spec Miata engine rules.

The build includes:

• Machine work to class rules
• New piston rings
• Main, rod and thrust bearings
• Mazda OEM oil pump
• Mazda OEM head gasket and a complete genuine gasket set
• Gates water pump and Gates timing belt kit
• Engine freeze plug kit and oil galley plug kit
• Replacement timing covers
• NGK spark plugs
• OEM crank bolt and crank key
• Mazda OEM VVT rebuild kit on the NB2
• Assembly and break in procedure
• Valve cover powder coated in your color of choice
• All raw aluminum components vapor honed

Cores can either be supplied by us, or you can supply us with a core. Customers who supply a core are liable for any engine components that are found to be damaged (i.e. scored crank, bent valves, melted pistons, etc.). If Napp Motorsports supplies the core, any damaged internals that are found during the build process are replaced at no cost to the customer.

Payment is split in two. 50% is charged at checkout as your deposit. The remaining 50% is charged to the same card when your engine is complete. Shipping is invoiced separately.

Shipping is charged on a separate invoice when your engine is complete.

Lead time is approximately 4 weeks from the time an engine core is in-hand. Any extensions beyond that will be communicated as early as possible.

Engine builds are excluded from the return policy.
